Wharton Magazine covers key trends from the second annual Philadelphia Nonprofit Day
Dr. Nancy Aronson and Praxis Consultant Linshuang Lu planned and facilitated the large group trends discussion. Praxis Principal Nancie Zane is a board member of the Alliance for Nonprofit Management and served as a steering and design committee member for this event. The event was sponsored by the Wharton Leadership Program, the Alliance for Nonprofit Management, the Citi Foundation at Citibank and the Nonprofit Center at LaSalle University’s School of Business.
In addition to the trends discussion mentioned in the blog, the Nonprofit Day engaged all generations in deep dialogue with one another to explore what they shared. They reflected on experiences where people from different generations
collaborated and learned from one another. The Nonprofit Day suggested opportunities to tap the potential of younger generations and the experience of older generations through mentorship, leadership development and growing job responsibility and flexibility.
Praxis Consulting Group has also partnered with the Center for Creative Leadership in researching and writing about intergenerational and emerging leadership in the nonprofit sector. Please see our reports here and here.
