Nancie C. Zane, Ph.D. is a social psychologist and a Principal with Praxis. Nancie’s work over the past twenty years has centered on the development of diverse leadership teams and the establishment of effective employee relationships within the corporate, non-profit and public sectors. She also coaches mid- and upper-level managers in Wharton’s Advanced Management Program as well as in a range of Praxis client systems. In addition to working at the individual and group levels, Nancie works with organizations in transition to help them re-align their organizational mission, culture, and structure through innovative visioning and strategic planning processes.

Nancie is currently on the faculty of the Dynamics of Organization Program at the University of Pennsylvania where she co-teaches courses in organizational diagnosis and assessment, strategic leadership in the public and private sectors, and team and remedial coaching. She has designed and delivered courses on organizational assessment, group dynamics, women and leadership, and intergroup relations as a visiting lecturer at the University of Haifa and the Golda Meir Center in Haifa, Israel. Her publication, Organizational Reflections: Parallel Processes at Work in a Dual Consultation (with Ken Smith, Ph.D.) won a MacGregor Award in 2001 from the Journal of Applied Behavioral Sciences. Many of her other publications focus on the creation of corporate commitment to organizational diversity as well as re-thinking student discipline in the context of school restructuring.

Nancie received a B.S. from Cornell University and a Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania with a concentration in social psychology and organizational behavior.
