Marketing & Communications Consultant

A Marketing & Communications Consultant who will help execute and enhance Praxis' marketing and communications efforts across email marketing, social media, website content, and graphic design. This individual will work closely with Praxis consultants and leadership to translate ideas, presentations, expertise, and thought leadership into succinct, engaging content that increases our visibility and supports business development goals. This is a remote, flexible contractor position averaging 8 hours per week for approximately $20,000-$25,000 annually. Hourly rate will be determined by experience.

About Praxis Consulting Group

We are an organization development consulting firm providing services to employee-owned companies, nonprofits, healthcare, and other mission-driven organizations. We focus on developing leaders, strengthening employee participation, and fostering collaborative decision-making. Who We Are Looking For

A Marketing & Communications Consultant who will help execute and enhance Praxis' marketing and communications efforts across email marketing, social media, website content, and graphic design. This individual will work closely with Praxis consultants and leadership to translate ideas, presentations, expertise, and thought leadership into succinct, engaging content that increases our visibility and supports business development goals.

This is a remote, flexible contractor position averaging 8 hours per week for approximately $20,000-$25,000 annually. Hourly rate will be determined by experience.

Key Responsibilities

Email Marketing & Communications
  • Develop and distribute monthly email newsletters and targeted communications through Mailchimp.
  • Monitor campaign performance and provide recommendations based on engagement metrics.
  • Gather and curate content from consultants, publications, and industry resources.
Website Content Management
  • Collaboration with an external IT/website vendor
  • Edit, polish, and publish new articles, resources, and other written content on the Praxis website.
  • Conduct periodic content audits and update website content as needed
  • Drive and monitor an Search Engine Optimization and AI strategy to boost visibility and traffic while adhering to best practices.
  • Identify and integrate ongoing improvements to align the website structure and content with relevant trends and thought leadership, and optimize website navigation and user experience
Social Media & Digital Presence
  • Create and schedule LinkedIn content, including posts and graphics, and carousel-style presentations.
  • Monitor and engage with activity on Praxis' LinkedIn page.
  • Support Praxis consultants in making their own posts and promoting Praxis content
Graphic Design & Marketing Materials
  • Design graphics and collateral using Canva or similar design tools.
  • Create visual assets for newsletters, social media, presentations, conferences, and promotional materials.
  • Assist with the layout and design of client deliverables as needed.
Writing & Editorial Support
  • Collaborate with consultants to transform presentations, outlines, and conversations into publishable content.
Marketing Strategy
  • Help develop and implement marketing and communications strategies aligned with Praxis' business goals.
  • Identify opportunities to increase engagement, visibility, and thought leadership within our key markets.
  • Recommend improvements to communication channels and content approaches.

Note: There is some flexibility in these responsibilities depending on the skills and interests of the consultant.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Experience in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, or related fields.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Experience managing email marketing platforms (Mailchimp preferred).
  • Experience creating content for LinkedIn and other professional social media platforms.
  • Graphic design experience using Canva or similar tools.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to translate complex ideas into clear, engaging content.
  • Interest in organization development, leadership, employee ownership, workplace culture, or mission-driven organizations.
  • Ability to proactively drive content development by influencing internal contributors to be accountable to deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting professional services, consulting firms, nonprofits, or B2B organizations.
  • Familiarity with website content management systems.
  • Experience analyzing marketing metrics and engagement data.
  • Experience interviewing subject matter experts and developing thought leadership content.
