Matt Hancock is presenting two sessions at the Vermont Employee Ownership Center's 2025 conference on May 30.
ESOP 101 for Employee Owners
A strong ownership culture is built on a foundation of effective understanding of the ESOP. In this interactive workshop, participants will learn how to communicate the ESOP basics to employee-owners, including what an ESOP is, why companies might want to implement an ESOP, how employee-owners get shares in their account, and how it might affect employee-owners—not just financially, but also in their day-to-day jobs.
How to Tap Resistance as Energy for Change and Innovation
Anyone who has tried to engage employee-owners in change and innovation knows that resistance goes with the territory. This hands-on session will help participants turn resistance into a gift, by harnessing the energy behind resistance as a source of innovation and engagement. Participants will better understand the human dynamics around change, learn to apply specific tools to more effectively engage stakeholders, manage conflict creatively and develop innovative solutions to problems that matter to employee-owners, your company and customers.
